Promoting Research & Education
The Christ in Media Institute promotes research and education with the goal of evangelization: to communicate the gospel, the forgiveness of sins through the atoning death of Christ, and draw people into a beautifully creative life nourished by Word and Sacrament.
The Institute seeks to be a continuation of the work of artists, evangelists, poets, hymnwriters, philosophers, mathematicians, scientists, writers, rhetoricians, theologians, and pastors from the great tradition of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the church catholic from the beginning and on. We are inspired by the masters of the arts, from Lucas Cranch & J.S. Bach to Johannes Kepler & Hans Christian Andersen to Bezalel & King David, all who sought to explore and receive God’s creation and gifts, and communicate truth, goodness, and beauty through vastly different media. We aim to inspire future generations to do the same.
